For a bonus edition of our Meliá Business Breakfast online events of 2020, and with a matter of weeks remaining before the end of the UK’s Brexit transition period following its departure from the EU, you are invited to join for a highly topical and timely conversation with Álvaro Nadal, Head of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in the United Kingdom.

Mr Nadal is a Former Cabinet Minister for Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda of Spain (2016-2018). He was elected Member of the Parliament of Spain in 2008 where he served until 2019. Before joining the Department for Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, he was Minister, Chief of the Economic Bureau of the Prime Minister of Spain (2011-2016).

In addition, he was Deputy General for Evaluation of EU Funds at the Department for Economic Affairs and Finance in 2004; Head of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Israel from 2001-2003 and an International Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister (1999-2000). He is a State Economist and Trade Expert, having graduated in Law and Economics from ICADE University in Madrid and completed his studies as a Visiting Ph.D. Student in Economics at Harvard University (1997-1998).
