Saxony-Anhalt is successful as always in its campaign to attract new investors and continues to build up its profile as an important logistical location in Europe. This is how the Federal State will present itself from 10-13 May 2011 in Munich at the 13th transport logistic – the International Trade Fair for Logistics, Mobility, IT and Supply Chain Management.

The Federal State trade fair is part of the Saxony-Anhalt logistics initiative, which is jointly supported by the German Transport Ministry and the German Economy and Science Ministry, the Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft (IMG) as well as by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce. Above all, the initiative, which was set up two years ago, should strengthen the perception of the location advantages of Saxony-Anhalt. "The central location in the European internal market and the successful connection of different carriers make Saxony-Anhalt one of the most important central logistical hubs in Europe“, says Thomas Webel, Transport Minister of Saxony-Anhalt. Minister of Economy and Science, Prof. Dr. Wollf emphasises: "Nowadays, modern infrastructure, transportation chains and the development of new and intellegent logistics systems work hand in hand."
